Ms. Yoonae Park has been serving as a board member of IAVE, representing Asia-Pacific Region since 2014. She has been an active member of IAVE, serving as Korea’s National Representative (NR) to IAVE (2009~2012). As vice chairperson of the Executive Committee of the 13th Asia Pacific Regional conference in Changwon, Korea in 2011, along with NRs of AP region, she helped develop the SEEDS agreement to promote IAVE and volunteering in AP region.
She has more than 30 years of experience in the volunteering, civic engagement and social work sector, working as a volunteer manager, researcher, trainer, organizer, social worker and CEO. She has served as Secretary General of Volunteer21 (now Volunteering Culture Korea), specializing in promoting volunteerism and conducting research on “Volunteering and Giving in Korea” since 1999. During her four-year term as CEO of the Seoul Volunteer Center by 2016, she has helped the Volunteer Center to serve as a platform for NGOs / grass roots volunteer groups, social enterprises, businesses, governments and global organizations to promote volunteerism. Currently, she is the representative of Volunteering Connected (formerly Korea Association of Volunteer Managers). She has also served as a board/committee member of Community Chest of Korea, Korea Association of Volunteer Centers, Korea Volunteer Center, YWCA, Solidarity of Eco-Feminist, Seoul Federation for Environmental Movement and Executive Committee of Promoting Volunteerism at Korean government.
