Rumbi is a social cohesion advocate whose passion is enabling improved livelihoods for vulnerable groups and those at risk of being excluded from society. She is the Executive Officer for Chain Reaction Foundation, a not-for-profit that encourages the development of social cohesion and inclusion both nationally and locally. Chain Reaction Foundations’ principle project is Mt Druitt Learning Ground, a behavioural change management centre for seriously disadvantaged young people 12 – 18 years and their families designed to offer inclusion to marginalised families, and to create a sense of self-esteem and belonging leading to confidence to take up study, work options, and normalised living within a community. Rumbi has her background in community engagement, strategic communications and management at executive level. She moved to Australia in 2010, from Zimbabwe, a beautiful country in Southern Africa where she worked in community development.
